There’s a strong relationship between the rape culture and the porn industry. And guess what? Pornography is everywhere! Just take a walk in the streets and you’ll see them on wheelbarrows and on the shoulders of traffic hawkers. The same guy selling educational DVD for kids also has hard-core porn CDs on display. A lot of people have hundreds of porn video downloads on their phones!
Porn messes with the brain. It is highly addictive. At first, a porn addict gets all his gratification from watching alone. But with time, he starts to feel the urge to experience the violent sexual activities in real life. So, he won’t go for his wife or someone who could give him consent easily. He would rather go for the non-consenting person with whom he’s likely to have a violent sexual experience.
What is the government doing to regulate porn and stop rape? Shouldn’t we be tracing porn addicts the way we trace Covid-19 carriers? Shouldn’t they be isolated and rehabilitated before they can go back to live with normal people? Should rapists even be allowed to live again?
Parents should be extra careful and extra prayerful. Protect your kids from all forms of porn. Beware of the people around your kids, including other children they play with. Warn them against other associated social vices such as drug abuse and alcoholism…
We can’t #EndRape unless we #EndPorn
