My name is Dr Khadijah Folake Tijani (maiden name – Sanni) aka, Dr KT.
I grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
I graduated from University of Ibadan in 2009 and completed my housemanship at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan in 2010. During my NYSC year, I was posted to Federal Road Safety Corp, Oyo State sector command, Eleyele where I became the Co-founder of the staff clinic that was commissioned in 2011.
I worked as a medical officer in the private sector and then briefly with the state government until 2013. I was also a resident doctor at UCH for a very brief period before I relocated to Saudi Arabia in 2014.
Between 2014 and 2019, I worked as a resident doctor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Shaqra General Hospital, Riyadh and then, Security Forces Hospital, Makkah.
I am an associate of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and I’m working towards becoming a full member in the near future (in shaa Allaah). I am currently on a career break and I’m loving my full-time mom job, lol!
I have three wonderful children and the youngest one is still breastfeeding at 21 months! This is me, practicing what I preach.
I am the brain behind Doctor KT page on Facebook, and the blog askdoctorkt.com. I write medical contents (mostly on women’s health) in simple layman’s language, and I provide pro bono consultations to my fans. I also promote healthy marital relations through my signature “Abu and Umm Fulaan” posts. The aim of my blog is to make the world a healthier place, one post at a time.
I am the proud author of #TheBook… Nature’s Superfood – A compilation of tips for successful breastfeeding.
