We’re not just here to eat and drink,
Die someday, and rot away.
We’re not robots with a missing link
Passing each day with jest and play.
We didn’t sprout from the earth like a weed
Or fall like meteors from the skies
We can’t be wandering without taking heed
Enjoying and watching time as it flies.
Can’t we see we didn’t choose to be here?
The One who placed us here surely has a plan.
He won’t burden us with more than we can bear
But He sent the Criteria for us to refer.
We’re creatures of the uncreated.
And we’re here to worship Him alone.
